Rubin House
Surrounded by the sandy hills of the desert, this one family house represent a collision between the white modernist villa, and more traditional dwelling heritages.
While the modernist concept is based on open plan living areas, the traditional Mediterranean house is focused on the patio.
The ground floor is a rectangular plane curving into the blue pool. The kitchen, the living room, and the master bed room open into the patio. The walls are effectively not there, instead sliding glass panels can be opened, deconstructing the borders between in and out.
